The challenge that we meet today is the real vertical and horizontal positions of the metal pipes are required to know to give a clear image information to customers regarding the shipment date. In addition calculation of inventory takes a long time to be carried out as well as RFID tags is in harsh environment. Mobilized RFID  readers  obtain tags reference hanged on metal pipes which enable users to know real time map of aisles on x and y coordinates for each run via the software. It creates a fast response on customer requests and reduces truck renting costs.

London Underground CoreRFID

Step Tracking System mainly used in supporting their escalator maintenance operation. There is a problem when escalator step fails to operate at crisis hour. In some examples, CoreRFID works with London underground and eventually comes up with UHF RFID tags to the underside of each escalator. It means that they pass the signals to portable reader whenever a specific step present on an escalator which will not interfere the operation of the escalator. In addition RFID tags is able to cope with vibration, grease and dirt ,magnetic and electrical noise while stepping in. Data collected in Step Tracking Systems is able to be extracted to XML format or CSV format and can be integrated to asset database system. The advantages of the system such as eliminating manual errors of data collection, avoid need to remove steps for testing while combining with portable ultrasonic flaw detection and it provides low-cost and easy to use solution.

ASFINAG 7iD

Due to increasing of data transferring between IT system and employees when conducting the inventory manually . It is difficult to confirm an asset is available or exists. We emphasize on process analysis and optimization, asset analysis and transponder selection, design of offline, Integration with existing ERP System for Data Exchange and higher reading range of UHF technology. RFID transponder can be expanded to access control for  vehicles and real-time tracking . It includes installation of all assets with RFID transponders. Either intranet or internet  is applicable when connect to Enterprise system. Physical assets, locations as well as other important reference can be fitted with RFID transponders. Errors and disruption will be eliminated via fully automated data acquisition, thus an accuracy and integrity of inventory will be ensured.
